With more blue sky days, I've been tempted out of the studio for lunch down at the local beach. Sitting in my car, having blasted the heater before turning off the engine, mind you. You may remember the loagthan sheep designs that I was working on back in January? The pots are finally finished and now available to buy through the Manx Museum, the Grove Museum of Victorian Life, and in a few weeks time, Cregneash Village. They've already had a really warm reception, which is wonderful! Thank you.

Have I mentioned that I dislike winter? Or cold climates in general? Yeah. I'm not suited to the Northern hemisphere. Give me a sub-tropical climate any day! The spring sun had warmth to it this week, and I felt like I was waking up. I'm wondering if I sleep-walked through winter? My mood has improved dramatically - seeing a bumblebee made me want to burst out in song...! Amongst all the pots that I shipped back home when I left Australia was a stash of spoons. Most of them are plain, some have odd feathers or designs, but all are either too small or thin to be suitable for retail. The poor wee things have been sitting in a bowl way up on the top shelf in the studio, collecting a thick layer of dust. Having tied clay stars to my bags for the Christmas season, I thought I'd give the spoons a go and happily they look pretty cute! Ahem, yes, I'm only slightly obsessed with the sunshine.
Looks like I started this post on the first of the month...ahem. 12 days into March, we've had snow, glorious sunshine and now torrential rain. Ah, a Manx springtime. The studio window photo looked so clean and shiny 2 weeks ago... Speaking of windows, my vases are looking lovely on display at The Flower Studio...please excuse the reflection...! I'm slowly creeping out of hibernation at the studio! A few morsels that make me smile:
