I will be opening the studio for the Isle of Man Art Festival! Formerly known as WOSAT, the Art Festival will run over the May Day bank holiday weekend, Saturday 30th April, Sunday 1st May and Monday 2nd May.
I plan on working throughout the weekend, so you might catch me throwing or painting. Or maybe just eating cake... → Saturday 30th April, Sunday 1st May + Monday 2nd May → 11am - 5pm → Lower Bishopscourt Farm, Kirk Michael, IM6 2EY → MAP I'm thrilled and privileged to be part of the upcoming Little Northern Contemporary Craft Fair at Altrincham Town Hall on Sunday 6th December! This one-day event brings together over 40 selected designer-makers and artists, taking high quality contemporary craft into the suburbs of South Manchester and Cheshire.
LNCCF is organised by the the same team as the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair and attracts some incredible maker/designers. It feels like a real achievement that my work is considered good enough to participate. Welcome our third Christmas shindig!
Join Spud + Maree of PineWood Studio and myself for a generous serving of hand-crafted goodness. And mulled wine. Special guests: The Bees Knees, with beautiful terraniums, and Sue Quillium, with fun projects for your little (and big) people! Saturday 28 + Sunday 29 November, 2 - 6pm. I'm thrilled to be exhibiting in MAKE 2015 at The Devon Guild of Craftsmen in Bovey Tracey! The exhibition of contemporary craft will showcase over 50 of the UK’s best contemporary designer-makers, providing an excellent opportunity to buy an individual piece of craft this Christmas. I'm honoured (and excited) to be one of them! The show opens on Friday 13th November and runs 'til Sunday 3rd January 2016. Many thanks to the Isle of Man Arts Council for helping me to participate in this exhibition, by approving a grant to cover postage expenses.
I'll have a selection of festive pieces available at a pop up shop from this weekend - Christmas in the Loft.
Where: Artists' + Crafters' Loft (above the Wheat Free Patisserie!), the Tea Barn, Tholt-y-Will, Sulby. When: Open every weekend, 7 Nov - 20 Dec, 11am - 4pm. I'm honoured to be part of The Cup Collaboration - an exhibition of handcrafted cups, made by 34 potters from across the globe. We were paired up to create two cups together and one of our own. The exhibition opens in Melbourne on Wednesday 7 October, and an online store will open the next day. You can read more about my collaboration with Niharika Hukku on my blog!
I'm pleased to announce that as part of the Creative Network's Western Open Studio Art Trail (WOSAT), I'll be opening my studio over the May Day bank holiday! This will be my second year on the trail and I am really looking forward to it.
The shelves will be packed with new work AND some discounted old work. Tootle up (or down) to Kirk Michael to visit us at Lower Bishopcourt Farm - it's rather lovely. You will have 3 whole days to pop in: Saturday 2nd, Sunday 3rd + Monday 4th May 2015, 10am - 5pm! My first market for the year will be the Home and Lifestyle Fair at Braddan Church Hall on Saturday 25th April.
It's sure to be a lovely market with some of the island's best makers, and it's all for a great cause, local charity Finlay's Tracks. The fair will be open 11.30am - 3.30pm. Come say hello! You can find my work at the Creative Network's Christmas Artisan Market in Douglas Market Hall on Friday 19th, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st December, 10am - 5pm. I will be there myself sometime on the Sunday if you'd like to say hello!
